Achieving Personal Effectiveness Through Positive Habits  

 

Introduction

Do you wish you had more time to do the things you want? Would you like to learn how to handle stress better? Would you like to increase your current level of EQ? Do you want to learn how to create and maintain synergistic relationships with people around you? Do you want to consistently inculcate positive habits that would help you attain personal effectiveness?

This workshop is designed to help you inculcate and exercise positive habits in your life. The habits taught encompass both the private and public areas of your everyday life. Through attending the workshop, participants will learn critical skills and habits to help them achieve personal effectiveness. Skills such as learning how to manage difficult people, time management, empathy, EQ development, proactivity and collaboration will be covered.

METHODOLOGY
Highly participative and interactive consisting of discussions, action-learning games, case- studies, practical work, critique sessions as well as team assignments  

Trainer(s)

Mr James, Matthew

Matthew James has a combined seventeen years of experience in public relations, people development work, media relations and corporate training. He is a certified trainer by the Leadership Institute of America. Matthew is also a Fully Qualified and Accredited Administrator of the MBTI and DISC profiling instruments.

Matthew started out with the Singapore Economic Development Board as a public relations practitioner with the agency and spent five years there, involved heavily in corporate communications and media relations work. Through his active involvement in consultancy and training, he has garnered essential knowledge and extensive training experience in the areas of communication and interpersonal skills, teambuilding dynamics, personality profiling, time and stress management, customer communications, presentation skills as well as media relations.

To date he has delivered training for about 200 companies both locally and within the region. He has conducted regional training in countries such as China, India, Thailand, Hong Kong and Malaysia. These include organizations such as Singtel, Shell, Jones Lang Lasalle, Nokia, Baker Hughes, Mitsubishi Corp, Housing & Development Board, URA, and Sun Microsystems.

His dynamism and practical approach to training has seen positive and encouraging feedback from past trainees and students. Matthew is also a strong proponent in the development and understanding of the role that human behavioural science has to play in personal and organisational development.

Matthew has attained the TOEFL certification through the British Council and also teaches English as a foreign language.
